Difference between camaro and bird 4th gen dash install?

Why does the camaro install require cutting and the firebird dash nearly a perfect fit? Can a 4th gen bird dash be put in a camaro without cutting?

Because Firebirds are superior. Camaros are cheap and inferior.

I have no idea really. I would imagine that the difference is because the dashes seem to have slightly different dimensions due to the difference in molding and the door panels on the fourth gens for the Firebirds and Camaros are a bit different. It's just a theory but the two do seem different. So as a result I bet they are mounted a little differently in the cars.

I think the Firebird dash is a little bit nicer. So If your interested in using a fourth gen dash I would just get one from a Firebird or Trans-AM rather than the Camaro.

I am kinda interested in getting a 4th gen and swapping everything I can out... I am just not sure I want to butcher my camaro yet. Might buy a beater firebird to butcher.. :P BTW I had a 92 Firebird before.
