dude, i have a TPI305 with a 5spd, just go for it, if a car was gonna get ****ed up from a burn out then it would not be safe for the road, yeah the chassis is weak but you can still do ****, just invest your first amount of money into subframe connectors....

BELIEVE IT OR NOT,
Burn outs are easier on your car than actually getting traction and launching... They just EAT tires.
When you burn out, the torque on the body is low, when you actually hook up the rear wheels transfer load to the axels to the pig to the driveshaft to the transmission all the way back to the engine... and ultimately that power goes into your chasis trough the engine mounts, transmission mount, and the axel leading arms.

trans mounts are cheap, can be fixed in the driveway in 20 mins too...with the right tools. I blew a bunch out on my V6, they were all crap, i didn't really drive the car hard either. Then i decided to buy a real good mount with metal bracing on the inside. That was only 50 bucks and it's goin strong.

1986sc, ah it wasn't a big deal, like 10 bucks and 10 mins it was changed. When I put my new motor and get my trans rebuilt I am going to put a heavier one in.

Never kicked in on mine, and to be honest the only cars I have ever seen it kick in on was a 92 RS. My buddy and I were driving to laughlin and well. let's just say we hit cruise control, right below it.
First off, yes the body will handle it
Secondly, you first investment SHOULD be SFC's...whoever mentioned the bracing on verts is a moron if he thinks they do absolutely any good.
Third-I've had mine well ove 110 plenty of times before and after the SFC's were installed.
