You might want to post this in the Suspension forum instead. Or do a search over there, there are quit a few topics on this subject.

Not dumb, this is the Body and Interior section and Subframe connectors affect the body does it not?

But BTS is right, better results to be had in the Susp forum.

heres what i do when the topic is a "crossover" one.

i post a thread in both. thats not agienst any rules i know of, and more people see it and offer advice...

for example. i have a TBI prob. the thread i made in the TBI forum has very few replies, and nothing really helpful in it. but the thread i made with the same topic in the general tech forum got a huge number of helpful responces.

as for your question, if you wanted to REALLY stiffen the car, you could use straight boxed tubing, and cut the floorboard where it had to go straight thru in the back, and then weld up everything to it...
so you pretty much weld a frame into the car.

ive seen it done on other unibody cars before.... esp firstgen fbodys...

it would be alot of work though, and it takes someone with ***** to make that first cut into a perfectly fine car... LOL.
