Which hood for my Kitt w/a Twist?

I want to make my Kit w/a Twist very unique. I don't want the tradiational Kitt 'power bulge' hood, I was originally thinking of the Ram Air hoods, but there are already people with those. I'm just wondering if there are other hoods out there that would look good? Also if someone wanted to photoshop a new hood on my car I wouldn't mind I was also thinking of how my car would look with a Ram Air 1 hood and silver racing stripes . Just an idea tho. I'm looking for as much feedback as possible, so I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks,

I don't like the ram air hoods and since you don't want the power bulge how about a flat firebird hood?

I think a RA1 hood would look cool cause it would line up with the scanner.

just to ask but didnt the formula in knight rider just have a scanner and the factory style front bumper. Like with just the scanner cut out.

The Trans Am in Knight Rider was an '82 and in some of the first episodes, yes, the stock bumper was cut to look like the actual KITT bumper. But those stock bumpers were only used for action shots I think.
I think a RA1 hood would look sweet too, but there's another KITT replica with one. His is VERY Nicely done! He calls it KITT-X. and it is SWEET. It's kinda the way I'd like mine to turn out, but with different rims, GFX, and different color scanner, and other things to distinguish mine from his. Here's a pic of KITT-X, and his site it www.kittxproject.com

I really like that set up, The only thing I would do is lose the door moldings they don't match the body lines. Especially with the 90 ish gfx I would really like to see it in different colors espially white. I like the nose hood combo and am really thinking about doing something like that.

Hey Matt,

How 'bout something like a cowl hood, like the Jongbloed one or sumthing?

I wonder how that would look...

Peace:lala:

Yeah, I thought about some kind of cowl hood, but I'd like something else. A lot of people have cowl hoods too. Also, could you photoshop the scanner in yellow? I'm putting a yellow scanner on mine in about a week, and I'm anxious to see what it looks like.

Thanks a lot. I just put 2 more fog lights on last night, and I'm putting the scanner on soon, so It's gonna be cool. Also, what exactly does a Jongbloed hood look like? What about some silver racing stripes? Thanks a lot!

what about a sort of....dual power bulge setup. One that is even across the hood...but tapers down like the power-bulge.

It exists. And it's the IMSA road-race hood by Showcars-bodyparts. I'm considering getting it for the GTA. Do a search I beleive I had a post on it a good while back.

Well the only hoods that I really like are the RA1 ones. I was thinking about an ss hood, if they ever made it for Trans Ams 3.1, I'll do a search..that sounds like it would look nice. My Kitt w/a Twist is coming ok. I'm not going to use the turbofin rims (or whatever they're called) mostly because they're way too hard to find, and I want my Kitt to be different. I'd like a set of black GTA rims, or some black Corvette ZR1 rims. I'm not converting the interior, yet, but I do have a 4th gen console. It's coming along................slowly but surely. LOL, like my LO3! Laterzzzzzzzzzzz

I found the post, and I found a website too.
http://www.showcars-bodyparts.com/firebird82up.html
That's the webiste. But it's kinda hard to find the hood. There a pic at the bottom that I saved and cropped. Would it be possible for anyone to photoshop a hood like this on my car? Does anyone have any info about this hood? Pics would be nice too. Thanks 3.1

Please forgive my photochop inexperience, but could you do something like this to that hood, and make it functional?

That's it!! SC82TA! Man, I like that a lot!! How hard would it be to actually do it ya think? Yeah, I saw your rims N8MAN1068, they look nice. So, I'm either thinking of some 5-spoke LS1 rims, or black GTA rims. Also, I found the spoiler I want! How do you think it would look with that last hood SC82TA photoshoped?

Man, the more I look at it, the more I want that hood! Do you think I could buy the IMSA hood, and somehow fiberglass a Viper hood scoop? Like in the pic above? Does anyone have any comments on the hood?? Thanks again, so much SC82TA!! Also, I posted a pic of my car on my site from the front. Could someone photoshop the 'GTS hood' onto my car? thanks again.

I'm sure its probable...you'd just have to look at both in person to see if it would work out. THe scoop on the Viper looks fairly flat so I think it would work and since the hood I believe is fiberglass I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to put in the scoop and reinforce it with more fiberglass. Just a question of seeing both things in person and figuring out if its something you can do or not.

I think that photoshopped hood above looks good. Goes with the lines of the car like the stock bulge hood. My other choices would be the stock bulge hood (looks great), or the GTA/TA hood with the vents on it (like your pic).

Yeah, I'm hoping that photoshoped hood, and the Turbo Wing II will give me the look I want for my Kitt w/a Twist. Anyone care to photoshop them on my car??
