I'm going to the bone yards in San Dog tomorrow. I don't remember ever seeing a one piece, cornered, ground effect though. What year is your car?

it's a 1984 Transam, it's so freaking hard to find this part! i even talked to a few members of my local fbody association and they had no clue on where to find it, i know that i could get away with just getting a couple of the 2 piece sets, but then it wouldn't be the original ones, and those have to be somewhat special since they are impossible to get, and i am trying to avoid going to the pontiac dealer and asking them, i don't have any vaseline so i don't want to end up buying it from them... any help would be greatly appreciated guys... thanks...

I'm no expert but, I think that is a two part piece of trim. it should have a joint where I put the red line. the part on the fender should be easy to find, the other half is actually part of the rear bumper cover.

nope, it isn't if you would like to i can even take a picture of the piece as it stands on it's own, i currently have no bumper of my car because of that piece, a two piece could be adjusted in order to make it fit in there, but i would rather keep the original, there are no joints whatsoever in there, i have even sanded down the other side and nothing, it's all one piece, i am getting so frustrated, i want to know what the deal is with that model, anyone know a good site to find out about the history of that certain model?

I was in 3 boneyards this weekend and finally found an '84 like yours. Correct down to the ground effects and colors. The back end near the bumper was two pieces though. Complete bumper, but the right side rear ground effect was missing. Definately two pieces though.

aaaah! how can i get it in one piece!?!? i don't know what to do anymore, i really want to keep it the original way, one piece, but i am missing one of them, i need to find it so bad, i am closer than ever to finishing my car but i won't be able to accomplish this until i find that other piece, if worse comes to worse, i will go to the yards and get 2 sets of 2 pieces, but i really want to avoid doing this
