Hey there,

Will the cluster from an '85 TA work in an '83? I know that mine uses a mechanical speedo, did they still use mechanical drive speedos in '85? This is somewhat urgent, because there's a cluster that someone has offered me, and they're not going to be around for more than an hour.

i think they went to electric in 86, I know for sure they had them already in 86, but they might have switched in 85. All I know is if your cluster looks like this.......



Its not electrical. If the one you are trying to swap in looks different, it might not work

 

The 85 cluster is cable driven.
