keep floormats from moving

Does anyone have a good idea on how to secure the floormats in place? My drivers side keeps creeping up.

Thanks, Rob

Super glue? Bolts? Taking them out of your car?

go to michaels or walmart, or any place that has general hobby stuff. get a roll of carpet tape =D. Stuff is hardcore, but you might be pulling carpet if you try to take it out. either that, or if you have one of those rubber nonslip tub things [that go outside of the tub. kinda squishy but don't move when you get out]... cut it a little smaller than size [so it can't be seen] and stick that bad boy underthere and viola! no slips

I don't know where they came from but when I got my Z28 the mats were held in place with small black steel spring clips with teeth that were sewn into the carpet. They really held the mats in place. But I ripped out the nasty floor mats and carpet and the clips were too rusty to save.

Yes those are what I am looking for. Some type of clip that can be mounted. I don't want to use tape, that will probably screw the carpet up. The non-slip pad may work....I will have to try that.

But if anyone knows were to get some of those clips, let me know. Thanks.

You could buy the floormats that have a ton of little spikes coming out of the side that goes on the carpet. Mine have that and it never moves.

I have a friend who used to have an import... his factory floor mats had a loop coming off one corner, near the seat. The loop clipped to the seat rail- his floormats never slid up. It coudl probalby be done with a small nut & bolt and a strip of denim from an old pair of jeans...

my pathfinder has a hole in the floormat, right at the end near the seat. the floor has like this plastic hook that sticks up a little. the hole in the mat goes over the hook, and that locks it in place. it works quite well, a lot of new cars have it.
