Do you mean a kit to convert a hardtop to t-tops?

The conversion would cost more than it would to buy a T-top car. You'd have to cut the roof off your car, then weld a T-top car roof to it. Just make it a Targa Top if you wanna spend that much money.

Yes a kit to covert a Hardtop to a t-top.

A couple of places back in the 80's/90's use to sell kits which contain all the parts you require so you find a body/custom shop which can/is able to do it. I am not saying that i am going to be doing something like this...I am just curious as to if these sorts of "kits" are still around as they use to be.

The same places most likely went out of business at the same time too.
C & C was the company that did the tops for GM and went belly up before the end of the 3rdgen production (because their tops sucked). At least if I am remembering correctly...

No, C&C did offer a conversion but it wasn't supported by the factory. Also, the C&C T-Tops aren't that bad. They do have a nice, deep water channel, but if your weather stripping was worn then they like to leak where the side window meets the edge of the T-top and roofline. Easily fixed with some silicone.

Factory T-tops were done by ASC.

Thanks for correcting that for me
I've also owned a C&C topped car, they suck.

I have been thinking about this one for a while now. One of those things that is way down the line though. I would like to have t-tops, but the only car I have found with T-Tops the battery exploded started a fire and the poor ole' boy couldn't get the hood open to get the fire put out. Anyway, is this a reasonable idea, I heard one guy say that it would be cheaper to just get a car with t-tops. Let me know what you guys think.
