Console glue?

Has anyone determined if there is any known glue that can be used to repair the console and console lid? I've tried epoxy, ABS/PVC cement, JB Weld, Super Glue-all to no avail. I guess I can wire-tie this thing together but that would look just a little tacky.

Oh man... you mean all of those glues won't work?

I need to fix this:

It'd be nice to fix because new ones are so expensive.

Mine's peeling also... Might want to try JB Weld again... I used it on my arm rests then put it in a bunch of clamps with 2x4s holding it and it worked fine.

I might try JB Welding it in place with clamps holding it and see how it goes.

To fix that use permatex black weather strip adhesive. Put a coat on both surfaces and let them dry about 20 minutes, then apply a thin coat to one of the sides and press it together and clamp it for a good 6-8 hours. I've used this on my 91 bird where the vinyl had seperated from the plastic and so far it has held up good. I also ised it for the center console lid where the vinyl started to pull away from the plastic shell, so far so good.

I just fixed mine about a month ago. I used a 2-part plastic epoxy and clamped it for about an hour while it cured. it's been firmly attached since. In the past I've tried plastic trim adhesive and regular all purpose epoxy with no luck. The plastic epoxy did the trick.

I used black RTV and some black plastic spring clamps. Take the few bolts from the console cover off and it's easy to keep the clamps on in good position. Did it at the beginning of spring and haven't had any problems yet.

Thank you all very much for your tips. That 'separation' was really starting to make my interior look shabby. As soon as it stops raining, I will try to repair it.
