Different Solution to 95-92 Radio Pod

Seeing that my car is a T-5, it has always bothered me that the radio was on the bottom and the AC controls were on top. The stick shift is in the way, to me atleast.

Sooooo, after installing my 4th gen console, I struggled with what to do with this damn radio pod.

Here's what I did, short version:

1 Remove the vent that are bolted to the inside of the pod.

****if you look at the bod it is shaped in a U****

2 Fabricate a brace to strengthen and keep the open end of the pod in the correct position.

3 When you flip the pod upside down, the way it will now be installed, there will need to be some trimming of the mounting locations of the Ac controls and possibly the radio, for everything to bolt back up.

4 With everything trimmed and fitted exactly where i wanted it, screw two screw up through the pod and into the dash.
****If this is done correctly they will not be seen****

5 This is not easy, but work all of the controls/wires/radio back into pod through the front and bolt into position.

6 Snap front cover into place and enjoy the new look:
Radio, high....AC Controls, low

I know some here will have something negative to post, due to the fact that alot of the newest member over the past couple of years have attitudes, but I thought it showed some ingenuity on my part. Plus everyone is always looking for something different.
