4th gen console in 91 T/A
How hard is it to install one in a 1991 T/A with Auto and what is all involved?
can someone give me pics and step by step info on doing this. Im looking to do this soon if its easy enough.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
Also what do you do with the Power mirror switch and the power windows switches?

Here's a little info. Should be more than enough to give you an idea so you can research further with the search link on the forum.

Well Blurr - did David give you the console too?
I was hoping he would give me his old one. Let me know if you want to get rid of it.

Thanks, I think I figured it out. If I get an Auto console I can do the same as the guy above in the link. I also can mount the power window switches in the console infront of the center cup holder then if I buy a TCR switch plate from a 98-02 T/A I can mount the power mirror switch sideways on it.

now that looks good but I like the shifter indicator otherwise I would do a 6 speed console in it.

IN THAT PICTURE OF THE 4TH GEN CONSOLE ABOVE ...
1. Are the window switches and plastic piece mounted on top of the removable ash tray, or was the tray removed and the plastic put in it's place.
2. Does the ash tray door still close?
I ask because I am currently building the same thing, and I am worried about the door not being able to close because the switches are mounted too high.
thanks,
KZad

I had my window switches in the ash tray before, but I got rid of them and changed them to some Saturn switches, so I have the auto driver down feature. They seem to fit better since they are smaller.

Very nicely done.
I just put my console in yesterday. I decided to go without using the door. It came out nicely, I'll put a pic post up in a few days when i my brother gets home with his digital camera.
