Did that come stock from the factory? What a weird place for a clock!

NCZ28, I've NEVER seen those particular switches with anything on them, are they new or just really clean/unused? I didn't think original switches had anything on them

Looks real good, though

yes, the switches are new. The originals had the markings on them too, it just wears off quick.

NCXZ28, did you use a polisher on the clock face? It looks scratch-free- nice! My original gauges have kind of a circular scratch pattern to them, from years of being cleaned with a rag; I've always wondered how to polish 'em up without ruining anything. Never wanted to try a rubbing compound "just in case" I ruined something...

Well if you look at your switches at a certain angle in the light you can see a slight discoloration on the switches in the pattern of the window and hatch release like the ones shown.

A mild rubbing compound, followed by chrome polish will get it as good as new. I've polished a lot of those clock faces, some with deep scratches. If you have any type of orbital buffing wheel or even a drill with a cotton disk, it'll work even better with a little practice.

Thanks for the info, Jim! I never would've thought about following up with chrome polish!
