searched ebay really good, but i cant find the white faced "glowing 6 color" gauges for my car!

all the ones they have on ebay are with the 140mph speedo but with the 6k rpm tach! they say the gauges are for a v8....what v8 redlines at 4.5k?! does anybody know where i can get these type of gauges?

btw, the car is an 87 trans am gta...

Both of my V8 cars have 6K tachs in them.

 

my v8 '88 gta has a 6k tach. dunno why yours is different *shrugs*

I want to say my bird had a 8k or so tach and my camaro has a 7k in it. I kept seeing an advertising thing in someones sig on here for the guage faces cant remember who though sorry.

am i seriously the only one with an 8k tach? on the tach face it says 8 cylinder on it. this is pissin me off because i really like those faces! i wonder if i could just put a 6k tach in it and get the faces....hmmmm.

What thirdgen v8 comes even remotely close to 8K?

 

my recomendation. use an online checker on your VIN code and find out if it came as a v6... because if so, and a v8 was put in. that would explain it. and in that case id prolly just chuck the 6k tach overlays on. i dont really look at my tach much tho, so it really wouldnt effect me, its all about listening to the engine

 

well the car came with a 305, and i know it was NOT a v6. the weird thing tho is that the tach is accurate....at least it is damn close. im gonna do some more web-vestigating...

 

My 87 Formula 350's tach goes up to 8K rpm...so your not the only one, its not the redline, but the scale goes up to 8K.

 

6k here.I redline at around 5k i think. Hmmm thats about where I shift too when Im race shifting it. Its got a mind of its own.

As for white face 6 color gages..No clue. 6 color???What u mean by dat.

they are on ebay. there is a rotary **** that changes the color. i think i may go junkyard shopping for a 6k tach...i should just be able to replace the unit in the dash and be fine, right?
