So where is this hatch?

Now the one in the pic is a 4th gen but it was made.

I have seen these types of caps on 70-80s Vetts at car show.

There is a vette local with a cap hatch like that.

It doesn't look that bad and gives you some extra room for some speakers.

I wonder if anyone has see one made for a 3rd gen or on a 3rd gen one? Seams like its a fad that never stops.

Anything is better than the bubble notch the GN got.

My 3rd gen is a truck. I have straped ladders and lumber on the roof many times.

So where is this hatch?-plymouth_hurst_hauler_02.jpg

Sweet, Now if only some body sold them. If your gonna spend $1000 on a new natch, might as well get some more room.

I'm sure the down force is much better with that hatch. Just don't stick a whale wing on it.

[Insurance and plates for my station wagon that I hardly ever drive gets pricey [V8 gas hog] .

My car need a paint job n e ways. It has the common clear coat peel on the roof. Really no way to make that look worse.]

------

Course most of the car is in primer now. And I keep thinking of getting a hatch frame with no window and build something.

Could find a messed up or used free truck cap and build one.

It would limit the roof space some but I wonder how a stock wing would look on it? Or if it is even necessary. Though its has become common or a fade to put a lip in sporty truck caps.

that's a GM show car I believe. Was a preproduction model that was being considered, but never became reality.

I'm sure a Reproduction will come along as this 'hatch' is fairly popular among us enthusiasts.
