my 305 has the performer 2101 intake on it, slightly higher than the stock intake carb setup, it also came with the L69 duel snorkel air cleaner, I'd like to put on the nice 14 inch oval 3inch tall air cleaner put with the height of the intake and edelbrock carb I hate to buy it not knowing if the stock hood is gonna close, how bout it, any body know for sure and done it?? Thanks.

 

If you use a drop base on the air cleaner, it sould clear. The clearance may only be a fraction of an inch, but there is only one way to find out. Good luck!
