white face gauges help

ok, ive learned how to make the gauges, but im a little confused as far as installing them goes. DO you just put them over the stock gauges? if so, woulsdnt that leave the orange tint behind them still? Or how do you take off the old gauge face to put the new one on? Does anyone have pics of the install?

when I did mine, I had to take the needles off which is not fun. In order so you don't break them, get a fork and put under the center of the needle where the little black circle is and pry up gently. If you just grab the end of the needle and pry up the needle will snap and then your SOL. As far as the old numbers showing through, as long as you are getting the same numbers, just white face then they will lay right over it and the background won't show.
