where can i find the really high density foam, that i can sand and shape to whatever shape i want?

it will be used on door panels and such. i've talked to the local fabric stores but they dont seem very helpful to find automotive matrials

 

Actually, you might be better off visiting your local airport and seeing what the aircraft maintenance guys think about where you can get that stuff. It is used a lot in the custom-built avenue for both aircraft and autos.

 

Ask local upolstry shops where they get there foam. I saw them using it on american hot rod on the discovery ch. Man that 56 rocks. But anyway it may be something you have to order in.
