Wheel offset sizes for GTA style wheels
Wheel offset sizes for GTA style wheels
Hi all!
I was just wondering if anyone knew what the offset is for the Front and rear wheels for the GTA style Diamond Spoke wheels in the 16x8 inch size.
I'm not even sure if the question is for this section or not.
Thanks,
George

Hey George!
The GTA wheels use a 0mm offset in front and a +16mm offset in the rear.
Backspacing breaks down as - front rims would have 4.25" of backspacing. The positive 16mm rear rims have about 4.9" of backspacing.
This info. comes from the Skulte web site: http://www.skulte.com/adapterfaq.html

Hi Bret!
Thanks for the info!
You would think with all the GM crap I have, I could find it!
I spent over an hour looking thru my books! No good!
So..............how's the weather out there??
Getting tons of rain out here.
I'll soon be back out there for another load! I think I'm halfway done.
Have a good one,
George

so which rim is swappable?
Can the back one be used on the front....or can the front one be used on the back?
Reason I'm asking is because I have one back rim and one front rim and I wondered if I could make either a back set or a front set. Seems like you should be able to do one of those.

you can throw the fronts on the rear and they'll stick out a little more than rears would on the rear.... however, having rears on the front will cause them to rub..... I know this due to a certain project 82 t/a :cough, cough: that has fronts on the rear and one rear on the front............
Hey George! ya know, as long as you keep on posting, Alex and I aren't gonna leave you alone!
oh, btw, we saw a good looking 80 indy pace car (thank alex for knowing what it was)... original paint and all! he said that you'd be going crazy if you were there...

Hi guys!
Ya, Alex would have all four, but he didn't want to get mine off me! So............they are all here in Kingman, Arizona now!! HaHa!
I've already got a list going on who wants them out here!
On a side note, I will be getting some more! A deal is in the works!! HeHe!
Now guys,
I know, and have seen that '80 Indy Turbo already! Sits in front of that Retirement Home/gated community there on PCH! It's been there for years! The owner thinks is really big $$$$ than what it's worth!
Nice car though!
So, when are you guys making a road trip??
I should be back for another load next week!
Have a good one guys,
George

Sorry, I hate to be a pain....but just making 100% absolutely positively sure that if I used one rear and one front GTA rim to make a set of rear rims to use for drom drag radials, that I'd have no issues with them not working, not fitting, not rotating right, or whatever. Would the different backspacing on each side throw everything out of balance? Am I being too paranoid?

Personally, I'd run matching rims. If you're planning to mix rims simply because that's what you have available, then I'd recommend searching eBay. You could pick up another scuffed rim cheap.
