I would start by re-doing the carpet. You can get some cheap carpet at home depot. then depending on what you are looking for in seats you can get some old camaro seats at the local junkyard or buy some online. Find some krylon Fusion paint in the color you want to paint the vinyl plastic.
not to hijack the thread or anything, bu as for carpet...will a 4th gen's fit? I mean, there's lots of v-6 cars in the yards around here with the carpet in excellent condition. Seeing as how the center console from hose cars bol right up to ours, the hole in the carpet must be in the right place. That, and the demensions aren't far off from our cars. I've always heard it won't fit, well why the hell not?

i think the console he is talking about is the automatic 4th gen console. from what i have seen on the board it is the easiest to swap in the manual 4th gen console unless you want to move the e brake and shifter around to 4th gen specs.

Krylon ROCKS! I used it to repaint my interior pieces and WOW!!!
As for seats, I reupholstered mine using covers fromMr. Mikes . Loved them! I rebuilt some of the foam padding on the seats as well while I was recovering them. Additionally, I bought the leather door panels from Mr. Mikes. A good fit - some issues with the plastic door trim for the locks/handle/mirror actuator, but overall a great fit. They do have kits for the 87 TA, mine is an 87 IROC.
Carpet and Headliner - instant upgrade. There are plenty of kits out there and plenty of price ranges to choose from. Remember though, you do get what you pay for!
There are a few gauge packages out there that you can get. DO a quick search on this board and you'll see the plethora of information stored on here. I did that and WOW!!
After that, it is up to your imagination. Let it run wild brother!

I would father have something else but i'm no paying for the internet connection. But i do know that if i get a wireless router then i can have comcast high speed even if i am in my car 100 miles away!
I would just have to find a way to hook up my lap top in the car
and i don't think I want my car to get smashed into because of a computer. and it would cause some problems sooooo bad idea.

it is ripping abit.

uhhh..... whoever old you 100 miles was wrong, not even 1 mile away you can use it. 802.11b works effectively at about 200yards at 11Mbps, 802.11a works effectively at 85yards at 54Mbps, 802.11g(thew newest) works effectively at 200 yards at 54Mbps. Therefore 100 miles is way off.
The thing is if you were to get a computer for your car, why make it be a laptop. I have a friend with one in his car.
He has a 7" monitor hooked to the dash, a Mini ITX motherboards inside his dash, with a 40gb hard drive, and a Radeon 9600 Pro Xt, lots of stuff. Anyway the thing is so integrated into the car there is no way a thief could steal it in one night. No possible way.
His computer acts as a GPS, witha gps module, a phone, his radio, everything. The computer is the cars second brain so to speak.

all of that was said out of sarcasm I would never put a computer in my car. It didn't come with one so i wouldn't put one in
computers mess up cars anyway. one thing goes wrong and the check engine light comes on

no i'm tlaking about a computer liek the one youre using now. The computer was fully integrated into the car, the monuitor was in the dash board and all he did was push the bottom and it came up. He had a wireless house and keyboard witha docking station under the dash on the passenger side. All he did was pull the mouse out an keyboard and it was fully funtional. It was a GPS(tells you where you are when your there within 3 yard accuracy), phone, wireless internet. The computer is awesome and he did it so custom that it looks stock. He charges $1200 for him to instlal an identical setup. Pretty awesome deal.....
