Cant believe the cost!!!!

I was coming home today and had a little ricerocket try to cut behind me and managed to clip my drivers side rear bumper in the process, Then decided he was going to not stop So i chased him down and finally got him to turn into a parkign lot of my bank. Where he asked if he had hit me. I was liek dude the front of your cars smashed in, you just hit and run i dont think so. Kinda screamed at him for awhile seeing as how he "didnt see me" i'm like if you didnt see it i know you heard it so long story short his bro works at the bank so we got all his info and he said get an estimate we'll pay to have the bumper repainted. Now the bumper is just scraped and scratched and tweaked a tiny bit to the right but nothing major i kinda blew it off but was liek hey this will go towards a full paint job. Ran to maaco just to get a quick estimate. 341.00 dollars to sand the bumper realign int and paint it to factory specs. Nice I should have gone to body beatiful who is going to do the whole car it would have been liek 700 bucks. Oh well so had to rant a littel but i cant believe how much just to paint a bumper thats nuts but i guess its in my favor so it works. I'll post a pic later

Since he tried to run, I'd screw him out of as much money as possible. Take your car to the most expensive body shop in town.

That's what I did when I got in my wreck. The homo pulled out in front of me when he had an unprotected green light which means he has to yield to oncoming traffic. Well, at first he ran, and a friend of his was behind him and the friend stopped and told me he would go get him. Well, about 20 min later right before the cops showed up, the guy pulls back up. Long story short, he never called his insurance company EVEN THOUGH he got a ticket for not yielding and I had a police report It took the insurance company 2 weeks to track this guy down and then he played dumb and said "Well I had the right away". So another 2 weeks for an investigation (aka talking to my 3 witnesses). I said F that and started going to physical therapy for my "hurt back" and wound up getting a nice chunk of change. Enough to fix and paint my whole car, and build the motor that I wanted plus some other odds and ends.

Wow that sucks! You know only 10% of why I hate ****** is the stupid stuff they do to their cars the other 90% is the stupid stuff (like this) that they do with their cars.

If you didn't file a police report, I hope you at least got every bit of info off his driver's license. If not, you'll probably never see a dime.

Hehe, I don't want everyone to think I'm a slimey bastard by reading that. The only reason I did it is because the guy tried to lie and get out of fixing my car.

I hope his premiums skyrocketed, lol

I had just gotten his phone # right then and called it to make sure it was legit and his phone rang. I also know his cousin, brother whatever that works at the bank i go to. After i posted this earlier i decided to go out and file a report just in case he decided to accuse me of backing into him or something. Plus i figure if i have trouble getting cash outta him i can hang the police report over him. I'm supposed to talk to him tomorrow to see what he's going to do here. COme to think of it my neck is feeling a littel sore

Just kidding i dont want it to get all wrapped up in the insurance companies and that crap i just want him to take responsibility for his stupididty. If i can get 250 outta him i'll be happy

Always get the police report, why wouldn't you especially if it was his fault. I would give it a pretty good chance that if someone tries to run, the police will say its completley his fault even if it wasn't. He could even face criminal charges for that depending on the state.

Now he can say you backed into him or somthing, and it could become a big court battle. What happens if he decides he wants a new paintjob and scratchs up his whole car, then decides to have you take care of a few other small things, so he makes it apear it was accident damage. People are lying (grrr, want to curse but cannot) oh well you get the point. Alot of people try to make others pay for there mistakes. It sucks but thats humanity
