ok, i got some of that stuff, its got a blue cap, its in the storage shed outside. We used it in our electric clipper when we were replacing a ruisted shut blade.

What about the other rust. Should i just sand itdoewn primer it and then paint it?

yeah its that simple
I had something similar to that except worse, I just sanded it down(didnt primer it) and bought white rust-proof paint at walmart and its held up pretty good. I think it looks good too, not that it matters nobody will ever see it but yah

only rust proof paint i got is black rustoleum. But i think i'd rather get somethning that matches the already there color. But i dunno. I might need the little primer i got left.

It would be a good idea to take a look underneath the car as well. Some of those joints may be rusting from the underside.

Its under the carpet, I'd be more concerned with protection than the color.
