Shift ****

Drilled and tapped it.. next step is cutting and rethreading the shift arm cause its way to long. The stock thread is 16mm x 1.50 if anyone was wondering. Please excuse the dirty interior.

What size drill bit did you use for the T5 shaft?

why cut the stock shifter? get an aftermarket B&M or Hurst, depending on who you talk to you will get different opinions on them, but either one is 1000x better than the stock crap one.

steve is right, night and day difference from a modded T5 shifter to a hurst billet shifter. The hurst was the first thing on the list with my Trans Am.

The 8 ball is kinda kewl, but to me I think they belong more in pickup trucks. Nice job none the less, I made a few neato shift handles in my day.

i say pay a few bucks more and get a Pro 5.0. a buddy has one in his 97 Trans Am and another buddy has a modded Pro 5.0 in his 01 WS6. both are absolutely amazing. the only shifter ive used for an fbody that i can hit all the gears with the first time every time. if i make the manual swap into my 91 or if i get a manual car it will get one.
