Yep.. When connected it sucks in cold air at WOT...

I feel it when it kicks in in my '83!

Both my '82 and '83 have it! It was available in 1982 on the LU5 and 83-84 on all V-8's...

My car is not functional yet, but I was told that the ram-air really does nothing to performance. What type of performance do you feel from it. For you to really feel it kick in it must be like 10hp at least...

Well I'm not imagining things...

I thought it does nothing also... I don't feel a thing in my '82...

But in my '83 (I bought it 2 days ago) I was going down a street with a friend and punched it it hit around 3000 rpm and it opened and the car lurched forward... He said he could feel it too... I guess I'll try it out again another day...

I'm not doubting you...maybee it is not working right in your 82. Was this the first time you felt that?
