Ever since I got my car there's been this little wire clip thingie hanging off the door handle. It still operates flawlessly though. How do I fix it?

Replace the handle. That little 'wire' is actually the 'spring' that keeps the handle from flopping/rattling. On the underside of the handle, there are 2 cast in retainers that hold this spring in place. The casting breaks, the spring falls, the handle rattles.

Maybe I'll just cut it off It doesn't seem to rattle, or maybe I'm just used to it. The next time I drive my car I'll see if it rattles.

lol... I yanked mine off my camaro with vice grips. The handle didn't actually flop around (as per norm.) untill I did that. I suppose you could duct tape it though

mike... to replace the handle you will have to take the inner door panel off and the plactic vapor barrior off (if present). With the windo up, you'll see the backside of the handle (not easily though). It's held by 2 10mm (or 13mm.. I forget) thread cutting nuts. There is also the lever rod. There is a plastic clip at the handle that pops off to remove the rod. Remove that & the nuts and replace the handle, installation is reverse of removal.

That pic looks just like what my car used to look like. Until Officer ROBOGRIP stepped in and saved the day. I'd call him if I were you.
