Well if it isnt stock it is one hell of a complete paint job. all the metels on the interior match and under the t-top wetherstriping and metal plate, doors. It all matches. The bondo it self is sometimes brown or large amounts of white

i could be wrong but

im pretty sure what your talking about is a special type of coating they put on the cars from the factory i think they call it epoxy primer or elastomer or something like that. but like i said i could be wrong mine had it under all of the coats of paint that were on the car when i redone mine.

I took a tour of the Van Nuys plant when I was in the scouts, and they had a lady on the assembly line that had a yellow wax crayon, and she went around all the cars and circled any obvious paint imperfections. A car with circles went to a different building where they were "fixed". Most were just buffed or drips repaired, but I saw a hood and a quarter panel with definate dings...

Also, sometimes cars are dented in shipping, and the dealer repairs them and spot paints them with OEM paint when they are still brand new, so there is no fade or matching problems.

I don't know if this is the case, but it is possible.
