I've been away from thirdgen.org for a while (been busy with school and stuff), and I could have sworn that before I left I saw a thread that someone was posting pictures of a ZL1 camaro style hood for third gens. Did anyone end up producing and selling this type of hood? Where could I get one? Thanks

 

yeah , its called the ss hood, it isnt that big , but its the same idea, hawks sells them , and a few other places.

nahhh.....I know the SS hood.....but I was looking for the BIG SS hood......one that was almost exactly like the ZL1 one

 

I already thought the third gen SS hood was big enough, if not a little too big. I think the SS hood on third gens should be a bit more subtle. Although something as big as a ZL1 hood would definitely be something.

 

The firebird version of the "super duty" hood is what you are describing it's a taller larger version of the camaro ss hood

 

the ss hood for our cars is plenty big enough....if you want a drag style they have something similar like the big block hood.

ss is too tall as it is on my car..

 

do they have the 'super duity' for camaros?

 

only one i can think of is the bigblock hood

 

If you could modify the big block hood and get rid of the "stinger" I think it would look pretty close to that ZL1 hood.

 

i've actually thought about that idea before.....but i dunno....i'm gonna photochop it and see how it looks....
