well it would look good if it matched the color of the car better, like with the silver or blue being red. everybody does flames, do something more creative.

I like it quite a bit, especially the colors you chose. I'm not sure what the badge is on the fender, but as far as the design and scope of the flames I think it looks great. Very unique.

Would look awesome in ghost flames!

If you're set on the colors, though, do it to a Civic... that someone else owns... and don't take credit.

TGO members sure know how to haze a guy around here.

Agreed, but his flames look pretty sad. In fact if I was to see that in the street I would burn it and give him real flames

i dont mind the colors. be nice to see a different paint job on a thirdgen besides black or red.

to make it better, the flames themselves are just way to big and just floppy. more curves, more flames, and sharper edges will make it look 10x better IMO

I have no right to tell you what to do, so I'll tell you what I would do. Keep either Original colors, but touched up, or go Cameleon. Ghost flames wouldn't look too bad either, but anything not as "Loud" as those flames.

I think it looks interesting. It almost looks like the paint is peeling away, and you are seeing the bare metal underneath with that color combo. But hey, I'm not some old-fashioned car freak who beleives, appearance wise, the car has to still look like it came from the factory (unless of course you put every possbile 4th gen part on it you can. apparently that is totally cool to do )

Point taken.... However, in a mad dash to break away from traditional "hot rodding" today's generation has completely lost any and all taste for class and plain ole good looks.

Don't play the stock-**** card here either. I don't have the time to list all the people here who go against the "stock" look. Ugly is ugly, plain and simple.

No offense to the original poster, JestahX. I imagine his idea would be better if he had better software. I still don't like it though.

I think thats true in some cases. I'm not for making cars hot pink, neon green, or having crazy decals all over them. But its just a lot of times people ask for opinions on different looks, and almost always they get the same response, "leave it alone." Which is fine, everyone is entitled to thier opinion. But hey, so am I.

And as far as todays generation completely loosing taste...well that gets said about everything with every generation. For the most part, todays generation loves the imports. Its their hot rods, or muscle cars, or whatever the hot car was during your generation. And 20 years from their kids will be into something new, and the kids who grew up with the imports, will be saying their kids have no taste. Its an endless cycle. You can either **** and moan about it, or accept it. Me personally, I dont care what someone else does to their car, or what this generation likes and dislikes, as it affects me in no way. Besides, think of how boring this world would be if we all liked the same thing...we would have no rivalries

JestahX, If you like do it if not dont worry about you ask for others opinions but they shouldn't affect what you ultimatly choose what to do with your ride. At leat your trying some dont even bother because thier to scared. Clean it up a little and maybe choose the right colors and I'm sure it come out f'n great as long as you f'n love it "F@CK IT"

I agree that "most" people say leave it alone. That doesn't mean that "other" mods aren't OK, just not the one mentioned. And again, your right about opinions, and yes, it is his car, but he asked for opinions..... No harm, no foul, but sometimes you kinda have either say too bad, I'm gonna do it anyway, or decide not to do it. Either way you're not gonna change public opion.

I think also that with a Honda, you need to do something to take away from the fact that it's a well made boring plain ole hum drum econo box. Our cars look great bone stock. Is it cool to change them, sure, but too little is always better than too much.

I still say better software would help......

If you DO decide to do it, post up some pics, I'd loved to see how it came out, and if its anything like we thought it would be. Maybe some who loved it will hate it, or maybe some who hated it will love it. It's hard to tell with ur software.

another idea, "not to get you to change your mind or anything", "*** i'd hate to do that the way this board is turning out". you could put a tear in it, it would look sweet! if they were really good tears, i did this to 2 stock cars yellow tearing into green w/ black outlining it. I HAVE NEVER SEEN a tear in an f-body.

I changed my mind about what color i will ultimately paint my resto maro' , and it was a color i had wanted ever since i started stripping it (bout 3 yrs ago), and im also having 2nd thoughts about the hood i want for it.

You know guys, a lot of your OPINIONS are getting old. I have always stuck up for people doing there own thing, and I ALWAYS will defend someone who's being flamed for no reason, regardless of what there idea is.

That being said, HE ASKED FOR OPINIONS. If people started flaming him I'd be the first to defend JestahX. I hate people who get mad just because they don't agree with an idea. But no one was flaming. If someone doesn't like it, should they not post? I agree that sometimes people go off topic just to start trouble, but that's not the case here. It's been 100% completely acceptable.

ugly is ugly...ya 2 U!..................
What's the supposed to mean? Is my opinion no longer valid? To anyone who may have not realized that the quote was my opinion, I'm here to tell you it is just that, an opinion. I am not the final word on ugly. Apparently some of you thought I was.

You want to talk about the way this board is getting? I'll tell you. Someone asks an opinion, and you say you think it looks dumb. 10 people then post how it's his car and he can do what he wants. The stock ****'s are taking over, blah blah blah. Geeez. YOU GUYS, are the ones who need to relax. For those of you who haven't been here for YEARS, I'll tell you that it used to be if someone didn't like your idea, there was flaming and name calling. Entire threads were regularly being deleted. People were getting banned, people weren't coming on here anymore, and it was just no fun at all. That has changed. The Mods work VERY hard to try and keep all that stuff off this site, and it's gotten 100 times better. If you don't want an opinion, don't ask. NO ONE is going to like everything, and you're bound to get negative responses. In a perfect world, we could politely suggest alternatives and kiss each other's butt's all day, but in reality, you're gonna get word like stupid and ugly, and ideas like "go buy a honda". Sometimes it gets a little carried away, but it's par for the course, and it's harmless. No one is out to make someone mad, and if they do, LET ME KNOW, I'll make sure it's handled PERSONALLY.

I AM a stock ****. I also like original ideas, but I won't pretend to like something just to be PC.

Now, before I fall off my soapbox, I'll get down.

That had been building for months.

By the way, JestahX.....I realize that you didn't intend for a big tadoo, and nothing was being directed at you. I also still would like to acknowledge that no one seems to be talking about how you said you didn't have the right software. For the 3rd time guys, it would be interesting to see that idea with a better "mock-up". Anyone wanna do a chop?

Blue silver and red isn't a bad combo. I'd go a little more subtle on the blue, and make it more "flame" like.

Man im gone from the boards for a couple days and see that i got some good response on my thread! WOOOHOO!

Yea, my software was just the "Paint" program that comes on every computer. I can't move the mouse like i can a spray gun.

That picture was before my car was stolen. This is what it looks like now. The paint is faded and cracked/pealing in spots and there is a big rust spot on the hood where people didn't bother to dry under the "Le Bra"

I respect everyones opinions good or bad. Im trying to be different, but going down the road of being THAT different i've noticed that maybe i just want something a bit more simple. I liked the 'maro with the silver flames and blue body.
I'd like to see some more pictures to get the creative juices flowing.
I have another idea but im afraid to use paint again Ill just try to describe it.

Front of car back to the windshield and end of the front panels silver, then have 4 or 5 silver stripes that continue into the doors that are offset starting at the bottom of the doors and going up OR are all even to about the middle to the back of the door. Rest of the car black or a dark blue or purple?
Hope that makes sense.

EDIT: I removed the picture of the R/C body since i can only have 2 pictures per thread.
