Finally got my car!

Well after two weeks of driving by and looking at my car sitting on the side of the road I went to pick it up yesterday. I went out today and took some pictures. Let me know what you think. Considering I got it for $1300 I can't really complain. It runs great. Blows a little blue smoke when you really get on it but brian said that is easily fixed if it is what he thinks it is. (Let's hope!)

I know the rims have to go ASAP!!

Wow! Looks like a GREAT buy! I paid $1300 for mine when I got it about 1 1/2 years ago and yours is in a thousand times better shape than mine was in. At least mine looks good now though, after lots of hours and even more $$$...

I think it is an all over thing. I hear it all the time from people at my work.

The first thing it needs is exhaust. It sounds nutless. Especially after being around Brians camaro that you can hear a mile away. I can't wait to start working on it.

Great find

I hear you are the one who spotted it first too, lol

I'm not too hot on the wheels (a set like on the other car would be perfect) but the rest of the car is great

Have you found out for sure yet if its a 305 or a 350? I'd be interested to know.

The badging, RPO and underhood sticker pointed to a 305. I had the car on a lift and the block casting number on the sides was 627 (IIRC) so its definately a 305. Oh well. Not a big deal - Still has more power currently than she needs

You must be the type that treats your car way better than your girlfriend. I bet she wouldn't hate it if you would include her and actually spend time and money on your girl. I know how girls need to be treated.....

Yeah I did I was on my way to a friends and saw it. Originally I was looking at it for Brian for some reason when it comes to cars I help but have never thought of getting one for myself. So I drove Bri by it and he was the one that said we should get it for me. I am way excited the only problem is that it is a fight half the time because he has a hard time teaching me how to do stuff instead of showing me. I was replacing my dash lights yesterday and after I got the dash torn apart he started doing stuff and could tell I was getting angry so he went inside sure enough I put a wrong bolt somewhere and he came out and got all upset. It was an honest mistake He just needs to learn that I want to do the work but I will need his help. Like I have said before I don't know much about cars but want to learn. Unfortunatly I don't think he is the one to teach me. He knows his stuff but isn't patient enough with me. I love him anyway!!

It has the 110mph speedometer cluster, so it's an original 305 car.

Nice ride, and $1300 is a steal!!

Thanks. I am hoping someday mine will look like yours. I went and got a quote today about how much it will cost me to get the dent in the side fixed and the car painted. I am going to leave it the same color so I don't have to worry about the door jams and engine bay. It will cost me about 3500. I am hoping to get it done this winter. We'll see though.
