Junkyard Finds- GTA Door Panels and rare Door Sills

$25 for the door panels and $4 for the door sills. It was a good day You can see in the pic on the drivers side panel there was an adjustment for a manual mirror adjustment. Kinda funny to see a manual adjustment on the deluxe interior. I have power windows, so do you guys have any suggestions regarding what to do with that space? I plan on dying the panels black and recovering the cloth portion with dark grey vinyl. here's the pic:

here are the door sills. I didn't check the year of the car I took them from, but i've read on the boards that they only came in 82s. Notice that there's a slot for the seatbelt rather than a big notch for a retractor to mount. These babies will be perfect for installing 4th gen seatbelts! I'll have to dye them black, they're like a dark purple color now. My next part to get is an ac delete box. I've seen a couple at the junkyard but they're all fairly rusted.

Not sure if you snatched up the brackets on teh door frame itself... but my friend put some GTA panels in his IROC and he had to drill out the brackets from the GTA donor car (riveted on the door) and put them on his door.

GTA door panels are the ****.

Man those look like the ones I paid $100 for off E-bay!
You definatly got a good deal... you also need the arm rest mounting brackets if you can go get them still. I had to get mine from thirdgen resource.

The brackets are still on the car in the yard... how the heck can i get them off though? do i need a cordless drill to drill out the rivets? any options that don't require a power tool? (i only have a regular drill, not cordless) I saw in another thread that someone was able to mount them to the normal brackets by drilling a new hole and using long screws, but i'm sure using the correct brackets would support it better

You defenitly need the brackets as yours are totaly different. There's like 4 large rivets and a cordless drill would be your best option.

the tweeters aren't a bad idea. I think i figured out the perfect thing though.. maybe it even came there stock. I'm going to mount the power mirror adjustment plate there. I've recently seen it mounted on the door panels on a few camaros stock but it came on the center console in my T/A. I've been looking for a place to put the mirror adjustment anyways... so this kills two birds with one stone.
I'm borrowing a cordless drill tomorrow and plan on going back for the brackets either tomorrow or thursday... hopefully I get them off without too much trouble!

Well I went back to the junkyard with a cordless drill and spent over an hour in the beating sun drilling out 4 rivets on each door! It was a PITA! But i got it done :-). And I'm definitely going to be mounting my Power Window Switch in that hole in the drivers door panel. It'll require some rewiring, but I have my entire dash out anyway. I'll just have to snake through into the door... not too fun I'm sure.
