rear black interior panels w/ cloth?

I have never seen a black interior panel (like the plastic in the rear) with cloth inserts. My '87 interior has the cloth/carpet material glued on them. Its like a 6" tall strip on each panel. How come black panels never have this on them?

It's part of the deluxe interior setup. My car has it, I like it alot. Much better looking than plain big plastic pieces.

The material, uncut or pre-cut, can be purchased from the Paddock.

I upgraded mine to the deluxe option. and made templates, cut, and glued in carpet for mine. The real PITA was the curved wheel well areas. ended up with some ripples but it's not to bad.

I have black-panelled kickpanels and lower center console that are carpetted. Surprisingly, the rear panels aren't carpetted, though.
