armrest repair

i forgot where ,but i read an article on repairing our armrests that have become unglued from the plastic mold.

anyone happen to know what i am refering too?

That's one way to do it. I pulled a nice black set out of the wrecking yard that were mint except for a little separation at the top edge, the foam had started expanding with age and was pushing the cover away from the plastic frame. I got a sharp chisel and sliced out the excess foam, than ran a bead of superglue under the lip of the cover. Only about one third of the length, didn't want to get more glue on than I could control at one time. Then I just held it in place for about 20 seconds till the glue set and moved farther along and did another third. Trick is to hold it down past the end of your glue bead so it will all turn out flat. 15 mins of work and they looked brand new.
