Hey guys, hows it going? I have a fiberglass hood and the stock hood shocks are just to strong for the fiber. I seen these fiberglass shocks on ebay for an 83 Z28. Will that still work on 89 camaro RS? please let me know

you can either use those or you can go to a junk yard and find a set of normal hood struts that are worn out and arent as strong anymore

thats exactly what I ordered for mine RAM AIR II hood and they work great...still a lil strong cause my hood is wayyyyy lighter than the 83 CFI fiber glass hood. But yes u can run the 83 fiberglass hood struts on ur 89 RS or on any thirdgen for that matter!!! I dunno if its different for other people but mine had to be special ordered outta MI for some reason. Usually I get everything through on of my works venders but they didnt have any in stock...oh well
