How long can u wait between base coats

Well here I sit in the middle of a 3 day weekend and I run out of paint and basemaker. Is it okay to wait more than the recommended time to re-coat the base? I've already got 2 1/2 coats on but there are some spots that reflect the light differently and I think another full coat would fix that.

I'm repainting w/the stock color (teal metallic) and using Dupont Chromabase Premier. Sanding again on the base does not sound like the right thing to do - is it okay to wait 48 hours to put on another coat??

imo

he should refer to the product sheets considering some companies do not recommend sanding there basecoats he might have to sand back down to primer and then reshoot the color. just my $.02.

thomas

just found this look under chromasystem technical manual. http://www.performancecoatings.dupon..._CBaseBsct.pdf
