Help, how do I get there from here? (Heater core cover)

I need to un jam the heater door (shown by red arrow) by removing the plastic cover (shown by blue arrow). I cannot seem to be able to get there from here by removing all of the screws I can find in the black plastic piece. Do I need to remove the grey bezel (shown by green arrow) which spans the entire interior to gain access to more screws???

At this rate, I may not get the car back on the road this year... It's been in half a hundred pieces for about 6 months now as it is, and I think I've forgotten where most of the screws go...

Thanks for any help!

Looks like there might be nuts on the other side of those bolts.. maybe you should look...

Other than that.. look for more nuts and bolts :lala:

Are you sure there are no more screws at the very top of that plastic cover? I know there are a couple on top for the Heater core plastic cover. Maybe you have to remove the heater core cover to gain access to the other screws

That's where I'm stuck... I cannot seem to remove the heater core cover. What looks like screw heads across the grey bar are actually what appear to be the heads of rivets? (I don't have an inspection mirror, and my head doesn't fit there...) I found 2 screws up above for the heater core cover, but I cannot seem to find any more short of getting the Sawzall out, and the cover is still reluctant to come free...

So have you removed the cover that is right below the green arrow on your pic?

Nope. It appears to still be attached somewhere up top. I've felt around and removed the screws I could find up to this point...

I had the same problem, ended up pulling on it just to get it out. Turns out there was one screw I couldn't find before. Broke my cover. :lala:
