Here's my 1990 Iroc getting ready for a major face lift.

I vote pearl never seen a pearl thirdgen bet it would look awsome.

 

Build up the motor, race it and show it.

 

I say restore it to stock... the white looks really good

 

White is over done I want something different.

I too say pearl. Keep us posted on the progress. Its nice you can do all the work yourself. Saves alot of cash.

 

i would keep it white... If you keep it clean white looks good as well. But if want pearl or whatever i say go for it

but make sure u post some pix up

 

Whiite with the silver and yellow pins is one of the rarest Iroc combos. Worth something? ...probably not, but it's got a certain coolness factor.

Thats the way to do it man strip it all the way down b4 u paint it. I hope you take the doors off tho its gonna be clean doin it that way.

 

A vote for pearl here. Looks like a great project car. If you don't mind telling, how much did she set you back?

 

The car cost $3,400.00 the porject total including the cost of the car,paint ,weather striping ,stripes,interior,suspension and brakes should be about $10,000.00. It will be a new car when I'm done!

 

It's at the body shop now doors fenders and hood have been removed. I will post pictures as it progresses. The color will be a surprise.

 

:rockon: Awsome i suggest painting the underneath also and using truck bed liner on the wheel wells looks great and works great.

 

Awesome! I hope to find a hardtop like that when I'm looking next summer. That is going to be one sweet ride and look showroom new...actually better than showroom to boot. Keep updating us with pics please....

 

3,400 for that car was a steal i dont see a bit of rust on it.

 

It's rust and bondo free. The car has 14 dings on the whole body. And the dings are repaired with out bondo.

 

Damn that was a good deal my car was like that but it did have some minor rust.

 

California Cars can't beat them.

 

Makes me wanna go drive to california to buy one ide kill for a iroc in that shape.

 

I second that! Put the factory decals and stripes back on it.

 

Stripes and decals will be going back on it. Does anyone know where I can get the driver door information labels?

 

Not 100% sure but i would say www.classicindustires.com sells it.

 

Classic doesn't sell much for the 3rd gens and definately not information decals

 

i dont like Classic Industries for third gens and newer cars. they dont show you pics of the items and dont really describe parts well.

Yes the Blue dots are the dings. A total of 14 dings in the whole car.

You should take off the crossmember and paint it like that underneath also make it a show car.

 

The under side of the car will be painted as well. the front cross member is coming out tomorrow and going to the powder coaters. And yes it will be a show car that is driven daily. No sense in spending a lot of money for a garage queen!

are you going to do anything to the interior? or are you going to keep it stock?

 

I'm keeping it pretty much stock. There will be a few subtle changes that only a purest would notice other than the color.

 

You should get some of the 4th gen leather seats and get the recovering kit that is two tone, black and white it would really look awesome in that car. Like your color.
