Kinda dumb interior color ?
Ok as from all I gather gm only made our dash pads, and dash itself in black right? Reason I ask is I remember seeing a 4th gen dash swap project car that had the 3rd gen stuff in it and was all grey. Had grey dash pad and all the dash was grey but had black vents. He then put in a 4th gen dash which was all black but when done it was same grey all over w/ black vents. Anyone know the car I'm talking about? I thought it was nice being different and grey instead of black, black black black black all the time. I'd like to see pics of it and check it out some more. If anyone else has a dash pad and main plastic dash itself thats not black plz post up some pics. I'm talking dash pad, and big main plastic dash runs from one side to the other, not just the guage cluster.

If both the old and new dashes were grey, the guy probably painted them both himself. The only non-black dash i've seen is a tan one in an early 3rd gen bird. Only the plastic was tan, the dash pad was still black.

I was thinking the same since the old one was and had black vents, then for mach up pics the 4th gen was black but once done it was grey as well. I just wanted whoever it was or someone who knew the dash I'm talking about to post up pics and or some info about it. It really looked nice.

I have an 87 Formula with a gray dash, the pad is still black tho. The reason dashpads are usually a dark color is sometimes you can get glare and it becomes difficult to see because of the reflection off the windshield.
