Ghetto rigged trim
Hey guys... so a couple weeks ago I redid my headliner, and with that came me taking off that trim piece above the window.... well, I managed to ruin ALL of my connector pieces, and me being the lazy, broke poor bast@rd that I am, instead of going to a junkyard and getting new ones, or fixing it with krazy glue (which I actually tried without success).
I got three feet of velcrow tape
and so I put that on there (one side is the carpety stuff that I taped onto the back of the trim, and the other side is the sticky part i guess you can call it that i put on the metal)
This stuff works pretty well actually. and was free to me since my friend had a bunch of it that he never used. This is an idea for anyone that is running around w/o their trim pieces on because they wont fit cuz they're broke... I consider this a MUCH better alternative than no trim at all!!
Still though, this is Jerry Rigged, so I hope to get it actually fixed some day lol... thought I should share my cleverness though :P

just make sure that when its really hot outside that the glue on the back of the velcro doesnt get too hot and cause it to slip down and fall on ya .....been known to happen many times with velcro in the past experiences ive had with it in the interior of vehicles

lol GM did velcro on the 4th gen camaros alot, the dash pad was held on by velcro and so were a few panels (explains why they can rattle horribly) so hey it will work damn well for you to, probably better velcro you are using too.

Hmm.. I never thought of velcro.. both the A pillar trim peices all have broken clip retainers.. didnt know until I had already bought all the new clips.. but the parts the clips slide into on the trim are all broken out. Gonna go grab some velcro tomorrow and super glue it to the trim peices or something.. make the stuff stay until I can get some new trim.
Thanks for the idea

BTW guys, if you do decide to do this, you must prep the area that you're going to add the velcrow tape on.... I didnt do anything but slap it on there and the velcrow holds very well, but the sticky part, for the tape comes undone on the trim lol.
What you do to prep this area is clean it off real good, then sand it down with something not too rough, but will still rough it up a bit, like 120 grid. and make sure it's clean....
Then apply the tape to each surface and keep them held down on it for a minute then leave it there for an hour (just put it in the garage or whatever while you watch TV) then put the trim on later and you're good to go!

try cleaning it with alcohol before you put on the tape also
