My '83 is the bottom-of-the-line stripper model and it had that steering wheel. The foam was all eaten up from the sun. I found a mint replacement on eBay from an '82 T/A which is exactly the same, if that helps. This leads me to think all the 82's and 83's used the same wheel.

My silver '83 has the foam one, and my blue '83 has a leather wrapped one like the '84's.

I should know better than to ever type the word "ALL" in my posts. Anyway, I think I paid about $65 or $70 for my wheel, but it is literally like brand new.

hum so technically this wheel is a not so common one, humm..

i could never find one around here since they were only used in 82 83, will have to be an online thing, humm,. may have to go aftermarket with closest to same design as possible, just like i have to do with the auto shifter assembly too,

i know i wont go with a grant wheel, i hate them damn little things, i want a skinny rim wheel, like an older vette one or something thats about the same diameter, hmm.. wish there ever was a car show or anythng around here so i could see older classics and maybe come across something that i like,

thanks
