I think I am going to polish them, just wanted to get them in to see how they looked. The floormats are from www.ussppeedonline.com but it looks like they have them made at a place called Loyds mats.

I'll see if I can get some more info from him next time I see him, but he just went on vacation I think so I'm not sure when it will be. I think he has like 2 more sets, I'll have to tell him just to sell them on here...

Tell him he could probably make good $ selling them on Ebay. A guy in out local club was making items like that for 4th gen and making a killing on ebay.

Well it doesn't look like he is planning on making more of these, but I think he has a set or two left I might try to take of his hands.

Yeah, those aluminum sills could make a lot of money! They're really sweet looking and I know many people on here have searched for something like them for a long time. It also looks like they'd be compatible with 4th gen seatbelts that don't have the bottom retractor.

LOL over $70 for some Aluminum sheetmetal with 4 bends a little cutting and drilling 4 holes? Not to mention it was all done by laser cutter. This is the easiest and fastest money this guy ever made... Its like 90% proffit... hahaha

I second that, although I tend to agree with Knyghtmare's comments and this guy is probably making a considerable profit on these sills. HOWEVER, I for one do not have the equipment, or access to the equipment, to produce something like this. Making bends in long sheet aluminum like that would be very difficult to do without a good metal brake. And laser cutting, don't have one of those laying around the garage either. A pair of hand shears just will not give quite the same quality of cut.

As for how they fit in person I can say they fit extremely well, think they use 1 less screw than the stock one. They could stand to be cleaned up and polished some but I definitly think they were worth what I paid.

Very nice--I especially like that set in the E-Bay foto with the roll bar, nice match of aluminum and chrome. What roll bar is that?

Just wondering if anyone has got theirs yet. I recieved mine last week. I have not tried the fit yet but I am a little dissapointed in the "Laser Cut Edges". They are alittle on the ruff side plus not completely strait. All and all I will be satisfied after I clean up the edges and polish them. Just wondering what everyone else who has them thinks.................jt

Got mine over the weekend and I'd have to agree with jtmiller's comments on the edges, they are a little rough, however, the edges on mine were straight. Some filing/sanding will be necessary to give the edges that "finished" look. Not entirely sure what "Laser Cut Edges" should look like, but thought they would be smoother, more finished.
On the plus side, they are a nice heavy guage aluminum, and all the bends on mine were clean and straight. Have not had a chance to fit them up yet, too many other priorities right now, but a visual comparison looks very good.
Overall I am satisfied, and think that they will be a dramatic improvement over the stock plastic when finished. I would not recommend them as a "bolt in" product as finishing the edges along with some cleaning and polishing, or "brushing", will be necessary.
