t-top removal

i dont know how to take my t-tops off, there is a hole that has unlock and lock around it, but the hole leads to no where. there is also a screw like object right next to that hole. do i need a certain type of key, or is something broken on my car? how do i take them off, summer is about to end and i really want to get them off. any help would be greatly appreciated.

you need a handle to fit on that bit...

that hole is where the little lock cyllinder goes...

beside that is is a little round thing which a handle fit on, which has a screw fitting inside to hole the handle on

I have a whole bunch of spare ones now I just busted 2 passenger t-tops in 3 months...

The hole with Lock and Unlock on it should be keyhole that uses the regular door key. When it is unlocked, you pull a handle form horizontal to the perpendicular position, and that brings in two rods (or hooks) that keep the top on. It is very easy to figure out when the t-tops are complete. SOunds like yours are missing the locking hardware.
