4th gen console problem please help me

4th gen console problem please help me

im kinda slow at doing this swap but i using an auto console and haveing problem with shifter do i need forth gen shifter or what the shifter plate wont fit in i moved shifter every way i can do you have to cut ashtray out or what please help me i need your expertise thanks

you have to move the shifter over to use an automatic 4th gen console someone else will be along in a minute to tell you how to do it or tell you to do a search

Using the manual 4th gen console on an auto is alot easier.

you have to move the shifter back about 2-3 inches. use a BFH on the rear bracket to bent it flat, and slide it back as far as you can, then drill new holes. I also had to take the drive indicator plate out to get mine to fit too. As stated about the manual plate is the easiest to get to work, but who said modding is supposed to be easy
