Attaching nose emblem with adhesive??

Yes the hole in the nose is filled so i was going to order a nose emblem, shave the tabs off of it, and attach it with adhesive, but normally it goes in a slight hole in the nose , so i was thinking if i do it this way it mar be popping out too much, i dont know how deep the stock hole is or how thick the emblem is so what do you guys think, will it be noticeable or ugly????

This is only my , but I would say that it'd be tacky; maybe someone would be willing to take some measurements for you so you know where to cut on your nose (if you want to go that route), but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a response on that.

I might be able to get something for you tomorrow morning since my car is being taken apart for restoration, but I'm making no promises. I'll do what I can, though.

Stock nose has a recess about 1/16 inch. About any emblem tape is another 1/16 thick so you'd have about a 1/8 inch raise, wouldn't look right I'm thinking.

What about doubling the depth to account for the tape? I don't know how thick the nose is, but that might be an option.

Yeah, I know. I thought you were considering cutting the nose to fit the emblem, though; simply attaching the emblem to the nose as-is would be horribly tacky IMHO.

O so i guess ill just go the route of having an extra 1/8th inch popping out....ill get some pics up...may be a few weeks though because i got to order the emblem...i could always leave the emblem off but i personally think it adds more "personality" for lack of a better word !!!!
