i have a problem with water coming in when it rains i cant tell whare its coming from but the floor behind the drivers seat is soaked its supposed to rain tommorow i need help fast im getting ready to sell my gorgous GTA if i cant figure this out please help fast.

 

t-tops?

get out the hose...

 

no t-tops thats the wired thing i think its coming from the window molding or the hatch molding but i cant tell.its not wet by the edge of the door just right in the center of the floor.

 

take a hose, and spray it down slowly and have someone sit inside with a towel or something, so they can see where it's coming from.

i bet it's seaping in from the window seals and then running across the top until it gets to heavy and falls right in the middle.

 

another possible would be the top of the rear hatch. I have a leak up there, and when the car is washed w/ some force, it'll leak, then the leak comes forward slightly, and lands hmmm, nevermind. It normally lands on the seat. But, if you're having problems on the rear floor, itd be a seal, so, and if there aren't t-tops, i'd just say, pick one, pick the other, check them both, or go through a drivethrough car wash, and see how wet ya get.

 

I had a couple of places that were soaking my floorboard.

1. My passenger door was saggin so bad, that when I washed my car, water would get in at the top rear corner where the window is SUPPOSED to seal again the rubber. It was just run down the interior plastic and soak in the floor.

2. The other place it came in at was at the rear window. The previous owner replaced the screws that hold the plastic piece above the back seats and used screws that were too long. You could run your fingers between the window and the roof and feel all the tips of those screws

 

My weirdest leak....

my trunk area kept getting soaked, and for the life of me I couldn't figure it out...

you know the seat bottoms and trunk area have that little patch, with the seal on top... well I silicon'd all around the bottom of it, nd guess what, no more water in the trunk...

trunk, back seats both have them... don't remember if front seats do.

 

thanks everyone for trying to help i appreciate it.i think i found the leak last night it rained real hard hear in new york and i blocked the drivers window and guess what no more water on the floor so now i have to find a place to get the molding and have it put on anyone know how much its gonna cost for the top door molding and have it installed? thanks again for your help.
