expandable mesh in door vents and defrost
hey guys, just sharing my new modification with you. I got the idea from another fellow who I asked for permission to copy him, I like it. and also finally got the finish for my stereo sub box I have been working on for a long time. I used Filon from an RV. got it for free as that was my old work. take a peak

how do you keep the water outta the body with the fence in there now? that would allow water into the wheel wells inside the body which will lead to rust. the original was dampered to prevent the water getting in.
so what was the purpose of this mod anyway?

i would stick something behind the door mesh so that water doesnt get inside there, maybe leave the mesh white and put a black plak behind that to prevent water from rusting everything, just my 2 cents.

Hey. I have a couple questions. What exactly is the purpose of the door jamb vents anyway? Has anyone sealed them off or, fabbed up a plate/smoothed them? And if you have any info. or pics that would be great!
Thanks,

Their design doesn't really prevent water from getting in them entirely, but it does keep out large amounts. You may be tempting fate with just the mesh grill in them though.
