Did all 3rd gens come wired for power seats?
I recently picked up a set of power leather seats from a 4th gen and wanted to know if all late 3rd gens (87-92) were wired from the factory for power seats. They seem to be wired for everything else regardless of actual options so I thought I'd ask. If not then where could I tap in to make the connections for the power slider, lumbar and bolsters?

when i did my seats i went to the dealer and orgered the harness so the two seats would plug in together then i just ran a 12 volt sourse froim the fuse block ( there is a open single blade terminal on mine ) it is all the time hot though dont bother me i fused it with a 20 amp. been almost a year and no issues
BTW the harness comes with the hoses that run the pumps and is a very clean setup. if i can did up the part number i will post it later on tonight

nope . . I recently installed pwr cowskins in my '91 and I could not locate the harness. The slits were cut into the carpet beneath the seat -- but alas no harness.

you run a constant hot (or ignition if you prefer) and then a ground to the seat track bolt, or somewhere close. i thought all cars came wired. i had power, so it was an easy plug in for my 02 TA seats.

I also have the complete harness for the seats,I was just hoping there was something there to plug it into from the car's end. No biggie though.

my 88 iroc did not have any wires for power seats. big disapointment!! my brother told me to just add a wire to the fuse box but i am not sure exactly what to do there. the set of seats i got only have a power drivers seat so i just need a good power source. any ideas?
