I was wondering if anyone has a list of all the available colors, fabrics, and color codes for the 1982 model year of the Firebird. I want to try and get some carpet and seat covers that are as close as the stock color as possible. I don't even know the color of my interior and my cowl tag has been removed so I really wont be able to tell unless I call PHS. If I had a list I could probably figure it out anyway. It's like a very dark gray color. Did they make this color in '82?

 

The color is Dark Charcoal. That was the closest to black you could get in '82.

 

Cool, thanks. So black wasn't an option in '82 then correct? Also, What color would the door pannels be? The cloth part must be charcoal, and the vinyl section is charcoal also correct? I believe my carpeting is black. It looks like that hatch area carpeting is black but I can't really tell if it is faded or charcoal. It's probably faded either way, but It's hard to tell. Do you know anyone that sells paint or dye that is close to the factory original color?

 

No black in '82.

Carpet should also be dark charcoal.

I've been looking for some dye that is about the same color but cannot find an exact match. Probably wont be able to anyway, but I was looking at SEM and it sounds like it might be pretty good. I found a page that has some color samples and I did narrow down some shades of gray. They have a color called Presidio that looks pretty close. What is your opinion?
