Were the louvers functional on a stock T/A hood?

The hood I am talking about is the one that came on a Trans Am GTA, it had louvers on the front and some little vents further back near the fenders.

Its the hood on this GTA http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...e=STRK:MEWA:IT

So are all those louvers/vents/scoops/doo-dads functional? They look cool, even if they aren't functional.

i made mine functional. And it worked i can really feel alot more air blowing in the car. But i made them so they looked like they were part of the hood. That did not work. Different materials crack easy.
