What floormats to get?

I have an 89 firebird and it seems that all floormats fit funny, especially the pit on the passenger side. They always bunch up and look funny. I just want some cheap black floormats. What's the best deal?

Looks great but I'm sure thats expensive. Similar ones on ebay (with a firebird logo) are $110. I'm looking to spend $30 tops.

Try Hawks for ACC manufactured mats. Appear to be excellent quality and match to stock. Mats are formed to fit floorpan. $110 shipped.

oops. missed the point of wanting low price. getting late in the day. oh well, you get what you pay for. a nice set can do wonders to spruce up a weathered interior.

$110 floormats will make me become that maniacal car owner that makes you wipe your shoes before getting into the car. I don't want to be that person. Looks like I'm going to fab something up...

Makes sense to me.

One thing to keep in mind is cheaper mats may have tendancy to move around. I installed a $20 Target set, and cut passenger side to fit to get me by for a year. However drivers side slid around readily on the smooth vinyl insert built into the carpet, despite the mats having spikes. The light weight was the biggest culprit. In any event it sometimes made for unsafe driving during heel-toe braking or clutch management. For what it's worth. Good luck. If you can, look for mats with soft rubber backing instead of hard vinyl or plastic.

Thanks for the tip. I may tack them in or something like that. I'll be sure to post if I find something good and affordable.
