T top leak on 83 z28, help please

It has been raining a lot in Ca., and my t top is leaking several drops a min., and not sure exactly where it is coming from. I examined all the weather seals, they all look good as far as I can tell, no tears, holes, etc. it drips where the large outside plastic piece(this is where the glass fits into). it has three screws fit into it, and it leaks at the front screw and where the gap is where it joins the front seals and frame...the gap between. If I take the t top off, and disasemble the screws, what is inside there, maybe it needs some silicone; or something?, and then re=assemble. I have never tried to take it apart. I even ran a strip of silicone where the glass meets the plastic on the outside just in case it was leaking there, but made no differance. Appreciate any help anyone might have. It seems pretty water tight except on the front where it joins the frame. Thanks, Dennis

Yeah I've been enduring the 2 week long rainstorm here in CA too. Use vaseline on all of your weatherstripping (lots of it) until it stops raining, then tighten them down and possibly get new stripping.

Unless you have a garage or other covered area, then tighten the brackets and stuff in there.

And yeah it sucks to drive around and be getting rained on INSIDE YOUR CAR.

I tore my t-tops apart expecting to find stuff in there to replace and found it to be amazingly void of anything. Theres a bar and a bracket but theres no seal to replace that repels water. The vasoline trick works for awhile, save some money and get the new seals. I've also found a set of seals at a wrecking yard that were in better condition than what I had so I bought them. It was $5.00. Worth the price. If they work, great. If they dont I'm only out a few bucks.

Welcome to my world, both tops leak and I have C&C. It's gonna cost me $300 plus for all the weather stripping.
