Windshield/Cowl Area Water Leak?

I've got a 92 that appears to be developing a water leak resulting in a damp drivers side floor. It appears to be leaking down in the area of the A-pillar and the floor gets wet around the kick panel area on the drivers side.

Then Friday I picked up an 89 IROC to resell and found it is leaking water in the same area!

I am trying to find the source of it and the only two areas I can see where it may be coming from is the seal on the windshield itself or the rubber boot where the wires go from the door into the car. Neither of these two seem to be that problem.

Has anyone experienced this same scenario? I am wondering if it may be coming from the under that black plastic mesh piece in the cowl. This one has me stumped pretty good.
